I would use this map in my first grade classroom, when I am introduce "How To" articles.  Every year the kids have a hard time picking a topic that is simple enough for them to write about.  I would project the map onto a screen, with only the middle bubble filled in.  The kids could then give me ideas for their articles.  We could fill in the steps together.  I could keep the map on the board while the kids brainstormed.  When we were finished they would have a nice place to start writing and plenty of ideas. 
During the next writing assignment the kids could use a web to brainstorm their own ideas.  I would have them do this on paper.  At this age most of the kids can't type.  I would project our example on the board for them to reference.  If I taught an older grade I would let them use this program in the computer lab.
